Description
"In the third installment of the Scout series, military dog Scout is headed to Puerto Rico with the National Guard rescue team after a devastating hurricane. When Matt's mom, a captain in the National Guard, and her team of K-9 search and rescue dogs, are sent to Puerto Rico to help restore order after a devastating hurricane, Matt must tag along. It's summer vacation, but Matt's mom can't leave him home alone. While Scout is on official K-9 duty, helping search for survivors in the wreckage, Matt sets off to explore. He makes a new friend, Luisa, who takes him to Sato Beach, the home of the island's stray dogs. One puppy, named Pepita, connects with Matt right away. Pepita behaves similarly to Scout in his early days--she runs off and doesn't seem to adjust well to Sato Beach. With Scout's help, Matt agrees to train her. Matt's secret hope is that he can find a new home for Pepita for good. But what happens when Pepita runs off too far from the group during a raging storm? The stakes are high, and it's up to Scout to save the day! Scout is the perfect series for fans of Max, Hero, Soldier Dogs, and other heroic pups."
