Caroline Lang goes undercover as a factory worker in a chocolate factory to investigate the circumstances of an accident and how the factory treats its child workers. She meets Ollie Moore, who is posing as a common worker in the factory to find out more about the business that he will one day inherit and they become friends, although they have differences about child labor. When they both become involved with three children in need, they each worry that the truth about who they really are will destroy the love that is just beginning to grow between them.
